It was recent that Natalya had signed up to become a police officer, and it was today that she had gotten a letter in the mail saying that she was accepted. All she had to do was get through the training, then prepare herself for her first call, and that was that. Of course, she knew what these officers had to go through; it was their job to protect the innocent, and lock up the guilty. If desperately needed, take a life in the process. Training started tomorrow, the letter had said. Be there around 7 AM. She had walked back into the living room where her sister had been, and she was smiling. “Lya, guess what? Remember when I signed up to become part of the police force?” She had asked, folding up the paper and placing it in her apron pocket, just for the moment, “I was accepted. I have to be there by seven in the morning in order to start training.”

Stories about dreams of joining the police force as a standing figure of retribution and authority was something Lya would always listen to her elder twin sister talk about for what felt like ages now. She could still recall when they were only young girls, and Natalya had already taken up an interest in criminal justice, wanting nothing more but to serve the public that she has grown up with. Now, it seems her dreams were finally coming true. "Oh! Your letter came in the mail already, that was fast." Lya set down the dishes she was washing, drying them off with her apron. "You got accepted, that's great, sestra!"

Of course, Natalya was excited for being accepted. “Lya, I admit, I'm really excited about this whole thing.” She admitted, looking over towards her sister with a grin on her features, “I can't wait for tomorrow, really. I didn't think that I was going to get accepted, but I was wrong. Let's hope I'm decent enough for the whole thing.” Chuckling, the woman had sat on the couch, and pat the open spot next to her, “Come, sit with me. Take a break from the dishes, alright?

"And I'm excited for you, naturally." She stacked the dry dishes that she has just finished cleaning, joining her sister on the couch and hugging her close. "They had to accept you for good reason. They deemed you with potential and I'm glad that they did."

“I'll just have to prove that tomorrow.” She chuckled, hugging her sister back the moment she had done so in the first place, “I wanted to become part of the police force, only because I am wanting to protect the innocent others that live here. Families, all of that. I know that the job ranges from a simple traffic stop to trying to negotiate with a crazed killer holding hostages at gunpoint. It's definitely a dangerous job, but I don't care, I will go all out to protect you, and others. Even if I lose a limb in the process.”

"I'm sure you'll do fine in the preliminaries...don't stress too much or else you won't be able to focus." Lya leaned her head against her twin's shoulder with a sigh, closing her eyes. "You've always been the one who was just as if not more ambitious than all of us, something that runs in the family I guess. If that is really want you desire most, then I will always support you, but you know that I don't want us to be torn apart by some criminal or other disaster....I'll always worry for you."

“Sestra, I know that there is all the reason to worry, but I will do what I must in order to protect those that I love, those that I consider close, and those that are needing it. Sometimes, you need to take a life in order to save a life.” Petting her sister's hair, she smiled warmly, “I know that we'll always be there for each other; if that wasn't the case, who knows where we would both be at this point in time. Us sticking together...that's never going to change. Almost everyone that knows us knows just how glued together we are to each other.”
