Yay that's good! Sorry if I sound a little hurried and rude on my message and I forgot to send it through notes! I'm really sad that I couldn't recover my account because I deactivated it in a spur of the moments cries T_T i wish they give you more than 30 days. I had a lot of memories on that account for seven years! . This is why I'm thinking of switching to tumblr and Instagram because I lost everything on DA...

Yeah I'm also so glad that you still draw and write stories. I used tumblr sometimes so I will also stalk you there! I got really happy when you post some new stuff. Haha I really love your art and children's book style +lines and watercolor

Oh no you didn't sound rushed at all I kinda abandoned this account because I couldn't change the name easily (paying for premium, then being able to change? nahhh). But it does hold memories for me like yours does for you! Essentially tho, I find DA cumbersome. I used to be on tumblr all the time, but now I'm finding myself on instagram the most! I like that I can leave comments if I want, and since I'm mostly traditional, I can just snap a pic XD

Yeah I'm thinking about abandoning this account too lol. For some reason, all the new people that comment or add me have really strange names of dog or wolf T_T or saying strange bad things like thesadkid it's really weird O_o I don't know if it happens to you too but it keeps happening to me and it starts to get annoying...  and most of my old DA friends are inactive. I really miss my old Deviantart, the people and the watchers on my old Deviantart, and those old journals that I wrote back then that I would really want to read them again T_T. They used to not have the deactivation option I don't know why they add it in for. I wish they didn't add that option in. I think I will send another ticket asking for help to get my old DA back because it's like a part of me is missing sob T_T. 

Most people move to Tumblr and Instagram so I'm going to make an art blog there too. Following the bandwagon!! haha

That's awesome! I hope to hear more about this! How long have you studied there? Is it hard? I'm still in college and I'm studying biology right now. I'm interested in animals and plants  I will graduate in about two years so I might join a graduate program I don't know yet.

Heeey, so sorry for the late late reply. I was very busy with school and work, I just stopped posting on tumblr too! I'm only on IG now because I get direct notifications with my phone! I recently got a trackback link to your website which made me remember I did not check your reply here! So sorry T_T

I haven't noticed any weirdly-named people following me here, but I find DA to be something for younger people (which I am no longer, sadly LOL). So I felt I kinda outgrew this platform! I did enjoy the old DA days, but I suppose that's a closed chapter.

As for my MFA program, this summer will be my 4th and final year. It isn't too hard because it's every summer, but it is rigorous! I really enjoyed that the program was open to any student of any level, as long as we were passionate about writing, drawing, and learning about children's literature! For my thesis, I am doing an illustrated novel about a boy who works in an apothecary with his older brothers!

How are you doing in your biology program? Are you almost finished? My thesis is very plant-centric so I have been doing lots of research about poisonous plants! Did you decide if you want to pursue a graduate program?

No problem! I don't check my deviantart as much as I should these days also! I'm also busy with school T_T I'm going to transfer soon to a UC so that's a good thing! I'm not sure if I got accepted for the TAG for UC Irvine but the letter sounds like it so I hope I will find out this late March-April!! 
Yeah I also on Instagram a lot also! I like Instagram very much and I find that deviantart is so old now too lol. It gives good memories from the past but I don't find it as useful as it was in the past! I like how deviantart used to be because of all the old watchers and people but they stop using deviantart now so I'm moving to Instagram lol! 

Yeah I am not young either lol! After this new year I am like in my mid-20s and I feel like I want to go back to my teenage years sometimes! x) 
Omg your MFA program sounds so fun! I'm no longer pursuing biology because I tried after one semester, and I find that I suck at math so much so I don't think science is something for me haha >_<. I really develop an interest for writing as I get older so I start to like history and philosophy (specifically political philosophy). I know I change major so much that's why it took me so long (I used to go to UCR but then I chose the wrong major so I decided to go to community college to transfer to a different UC with a new major). This is my last semester and I will be transfering to a UC after I get their letter this March or April so I'm really excited for that.
Yeah I'm planning to go to graduate school for history or philosophy. My family thinks I should try law school (O_O) but I'm like uhhh I'm so bad at public speaking and stuff and I'm not quick enough in debate so I don't know about that LOL. But we'll see after my two years at a UC to get my bachelor degree

Yeah I miss talking to you so much! And see your new art too . Sadly, I haven't found the time to draw new art because all I do now is eat sleep and study lol (and some gaming and workout/gym lmao). It takes me long to develop ideas for drawing that's why and it takes me longer to draw and color T_T. I like to post art on instagram but I like to use tumblr to reblog things that interested me like make-up, fashion, and history of art. I don't post art on tumblr lol so my tumblr is just full of reblogs xD If you want I can dm you on Instagram so we can talk more!!

TAG is Transfer Admission Guarantee? I did that for my undergrad at San Diego State. I had friends go to UC Irvine, and they enjoyed it very much!

IG is very nice, I like it because I'm too lazy to scan images. With IG I can just take a picture to upload it! I do enjoy browsing my old deviations and favorites here though.

Sounds like you went through some shifts in your interests! I do the same, so I wouldn't feel too bad about hopping majors. Although I stuck to my major, I picked a lot of things that related to it that could double dip. Like, I got my BA in English composition, but my MFA is focused on both critical and creative writing, as well as illustration. So it plays off of skills I've gained from my BA, my credential, and my hobbies

Aw, I didn't know I was so missed! I feel like I don't have a lot of time to draw either, but once I finish this school year and return for my last year at my uni, I'll have a ton of creative time! I feel you on taking time to develop ideas! I feel the same way D:

Tumblr I still use for art, but I don't go on it very much. Pinterest I use for inspo, I repin stuff to different mood boards I have set up for reference

Ah yes I do know LMP! I admire her works very much I think we've casually known each other on DA, Tegakie then LJ since around 2008 or so. She stopped using LJ recently so it's a bit hard to follow her new endeavors since I primarily check LJ then everything else when I have the time.

Thanks for linking me to her new comic! I love her original characters! You should check out "To The Sea" if she still has it up on her website. It's unfinished but the two main characters are lovely *V*

As for similarities, I think we both share a love for old fairy tales and fables ^^
