You did all these locomotive paintings from Trainiax drawings? They look like they're 3D!. I need to watch you to learn how to do this myself.

I use Paintshop Pro... Using the rectangle selection tool, I select parts of the drawing that should have some shadowing... I then use a gradient fill to add the shadow. You also need to copy the hand rails before adding the shadow and the paste them back in over the shadow.
I will add a demonstration pic so you can see what I mean.
