I shot this in London at the Thames Festival, the same day I captured My Element .This guy... heck, this guy was so awesome. I've got loads of pictures of him doing all sorts of expressions. What I found to be most profound was how still he remained, and not in a comfortable position either. Sometimes, he was bent over at odd angles and yet he kept utterly still.
It was a bit scary, actually.

I'm not much of a photography guy but I love this guy's expression. Most of all what I love the most is the way the light hits his body and his face, especially on his nose - it creates sort of this triangular shape that really pops out and draws interest to the face that is in shadow. I also like the way the shadows of his eyes in his sockets blends into the dark parts of the texture on his face making his eyes look extra creepy. Whoever did the makeup did a really damn good job, because I can almost feel the texture of his face in this photo. I also like the rough texture of the suit and how it seems to match the rough texture of the face. The only thing I think that is out of place is the blue tie- as much as I like the color blue, I feel like maybe a black or white tie would've fit in better with the rest of the outfit. Or maybe if you wanted the tie to really pop out you could make it a shade of red similar to the color of his gums, to add an extra bit of creepiness to this guy. Other than that the focus of the shot and all the details in the photo really come together. The choice of blurring out the background making the dude super sharp was a good choice and the overallΒ image quality is great.

Nice shot overall, and it looks kind of creepy too the way he's grinning. I hear those people practice and train to stay in one position for hours on end without moving. It's something I've practiced for Halloween, just standing sentry like that.Β

I took a lot of shots of him, but chose this one to upload partly because of his grin.
Really? Did it hurt? Whenever I watch these people, I feel like the positions can't be all too comfortable... I don't know. I'm not good with staying still.

No not really. It was just me relaxing there for a while, waiting for a trick-or-treater. When a small group did arrive, I hadn't moved yet and they thought either I was really good standing still, or a prop on the lawn. 
It takes practice I guess, and not thinking about it.Β

Yes it is. Especially with jeans as they tend to stick with your body sometimes. And I don't like how they sometimes keep heat in as well.Β

It definitely depends on the kind of jeans, but jeans do have a bad habit of sticking to you on a hot day.. perhaps that is why it is better to wear shorts and all?
Jeans are certainly dodgy. Isn't the business going down? I thought I heard that somewhere, that not many people are buying jeans nowadays.

True- but I don't have that many shorts to go out in, most of them are missing buttons, and or are a bit too baggy on me. Also, come around during late summer and early fall, mosquitoes seem to be an abundant so I wear pants to prevent myself from being bitten.Β

They are quite expensive. I do think that a lot of people are wearing something else other than jeans, but then I walk around and I see plenty of people wearing jeans still.

Yes it does. I was playing ultimate frisbee and a couple of them bit me- I'm kind of glad I had pants, otherwise my legs would be all red with bites.Β
That probably would be it. I haven't gotten a new pair of jeans since last year- or two years ago actually. THe ones I'm wearing are hand me downs.Β

Oh dear. =/ Yeah, it's not fun at all. I'm allergic to them myself, so the effects are doubly worse for me.

YEah they do. My arms itch now with their bites, and I think I'm going to wait a while before I do anything that requires me going out. Unless I have very good bug repellent or something.Β
Jeans. And shorts. They're old. I do really need to go to the store and get some more clothes. I feel outdated too.Β

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan.. but even bug repellent doesn't do the trick sometimes. The things you spray on to ward mozzies away don't do their jobs.
Have you put some cream on your bites?

You could put some cream on. It doesn't do much, though...mostly because the mozzie bites are inside, not outside, if that makes sense? Or rather, everything stems from inside, thus affecting the outside, so if you do put cream, you'd only be treating the symptom, not the cause.
