Description Norse religious totem of power generaly worn around the neck as an amulet, this is a drawing of my own amulet.

The original artwork is in ink on medium weight cartridge paper.

I think for those who have an interested in Norse or Celtic religions the birds are very important and even if you move away from their religious symbolism there are the uses like the quill pen was an object of power the domestic use of feathers to stuff bedding and quilt clothes. As an image I think the feather speaks to everybody. In this case the god, Tyr, had a cloak of raven feathers, the reason he is seen as a god of courage is he put his hand in Fenris's mouth so the other gods had a chance to bind Fenris, needless to say Tyr lost a hand.

Ty, I am at this moment at time taking a look at, ermmm, Modern ink application tools, just looking at the Copic markers and multiliners. Won't get rid of my old clutch pens and things though.
