Description
With the entrants arriving in Obertauern for their well deserved rest,
someone special was getting a particularily warm welcome too.
Helena led the huge pack of people and horses to the alpine base,
where Lyo would nearly pull her off her mount for a hug.
The warming continued in the evening that turned out to become
an uncharacteristically early dive into the pillows.
Helena's sleepy blinks were contagious as Lyo turned snuggly
and ready for bed. The captain was still more withdrawn than usual,
looking mostly for company he considered family - but this protected sleep
may charge him enough to meet and greet more people the next day.
Damon didn't leave Lyo's side all winter, whenever he was not
busy with children and horses, he would make sure he didn't experience
any form of loneliness. Helena had always been a soothing lantern in gloomy nights
for Lyo, over the years, she had extended her light to shine on Damon too.
Few people would ever be capable of acknowledging and respecting trauma
the way she did, all the while never doubting their strength and to be
family she can rely on too. Sometimes, all it takes to help the mind find relief,
is to be told "i will always be at your side".
