Cheers! The two plug-ins I use that help me alot are RoundCorners and Joint Push-Pull. Other than that, I just use the basic tools. The FollowMe tool is a great tool for making interesting shapes.

Another outstanding plug-in is called 'Artisan' (small cost, well worth it) that allows organic modelling. SU is really a great product, that is best of all.. free!

Have a look at an artist on here called '600v', his work is the sole reason I started modelling in SU in the first place.

Thanks for the info I'll give them a shot soon I think. The thought of organic modeling in sketch up sounds rather alien but fun.

yeah he's stuff is awsome. I love the motorbikes he's done and how all his veichles seem to have a sci-fi feel to them.

I learnt everything I know from watching his video tutorials over and over again and examining his techniques and button presses, which can be very hard in super speed haha.. I have only been modelling in SU since about March this year (9 months) and playing with VRay for about 6 months.

Thats awsome, your doing very well for someone who's only being playing with it for as long as you have. I used to play around with it in my classes during year 11 and 12 though I havent realy touched it since. your stuff is certanly inspireing me to go back into it. especially seen as there is a way to edit curved faces now and do more intriquete things in it.
