Media: Media: Pencil, PITT Pen and COPIC marker on Strathmore Drawing paper, then colored with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Finally getting around to uploading some images. Here's the final cover art to ZATANNA 14. Lady Z studying arcane lore in some Lovecraftian library! Woot! Or Toow! as Zatanna would say...
Not sure if this has anything to do with the story itself; DC Comics sometimes just like eye-catching or thought-provoking covers.

I was working a convention and my buddy that was helping me cover the booth saw this comic while going through a 'used' bin one of the distributors had. He knew this was without equal, my favorite Zatanna illustration, so he bought the comic for me.
I read the comic & the story was... lacking. But this cover is still the most amazing Zatanna piece I've ever seen. So I've framed the comic & it hangs on my wall.

Wow, So much detail! How much of of this is pen, Copic marker and photoshop respectively? I work a lot with Copics and I can't seem to get as much detail without some darker colour bleeding over it, any suggestions?

Libraries are cool.
I love those little art-deco-ish stars surrounding Zatanna. I sadly never got around to reading this series, as I was waiting for the trade on it. Peter Milligan's Justice League Dark thing will be interesting, but I will miss your covers for this series. And I'll miss Zatanna's classic look.
