Okay, it's time to talk about the eleventh episode of Tokyo Mew Mew New second season; the chapter begins with the Mew Mews flying to Deep Blue's ship while all the people in Tokyo look at them very intrigued; Ichigo/Zoey's friends, Moe/Megan and Miwa/Mimi look concerned at what is happening and in another part of the city, Ichigo/Zoey's parents also look at the Mew Mews intrigued, wishing them good luck, but not before Ichigo/Zoey to reassure them, that she is at Aoyama/Mark's house and in another part of the city, Mint/Corina's brother looks up at the sky and wishes his sister good luck while helping to rescue people in the city and evacuates them to a safe place and nearby; Pudding/Kikki's little siblings look up at the sky and wish their older sister good luck and in another part of Tokyo, Rika Minagawa is filming the flying Mew Mews and wishes Zakuro/Renee good luck. Later, the Mew Mews land at the entrance of the spaceship, following Mew Aqua's scent to guide them inside the ship, however, upon reaching a place where there are several floating ledges to get to the other side, Pai/Sardon and Taruto/Tarb appear floating in the air and tell them that they will not let them pass or interfere with Deep Blue's plan and then the two make a version with robotic parts of the Chimera Animal Moth that the girls had previously faced at the Tokyo Tower appear and the Chimera Animal attacks them by shooting a beam from its mouth in their direction, but Mint/Corina, Lettuce/Bridget, Pudding/Kikki and Zakuro/Renee block the attack with their weapons and tell Ichigo/Zoey that she has to keep going to save the Earth while they stay behind fighting and insist that she has become someone very important to them and feeling motivated, Ichigo/Zoey jumps off the ledges towards the next platform, but Taruto/Tarb tries to attack Ichigo/Zoey, but Pudding/Kikki prevents him and fights him, allowing Ichigo/Zoey to continue on her way, but now Pai/Sardon interferes trying to attack her, but Lettuce/Bridget gets in his way and fights him, so Ichigo/Zoey can keep moving forward, while Mint/Corina and Zakuro/Renee fight the Chimera Animal Moth. Ichigo/Zoey runs through the dark corridor until reaching the end of it and finding a staircase that leads directly to a room with a giant dome where you can see the sky and in the center of the room there is a giant tree sticking out of the dome and below it, Deep Blue is standing, focused and with his eyes closed. Seeing him, Ichigo/Zoey calls out to Aoyama/Mark, desperate to talk to him to convince him to stop what he’s doing, but Deep Blue attacks her by shooting a black electric beam from his hand to torture her, causing Ichigo/Zoey to fall to the ground, not being able to get up, but despite that, Ichigo/Zoey decides not to give up and continues trying to get closer to Deep Blue to talk to him, but he continues to attack her with electric beams to prevent her from getting closer, but Ichigo/Zoey is determined, until Deep Blue, irritated, draws his sword and is about to finish off Ichigo/Zoey, when Kisshu/Dren appears interfering with Deep Blue's attack, blocking his sword with his weapons to protect Ichigo/Zoey, carrying her in his arms to teleport her to safety away from Deep Blue, greeting her cheerfully and humorously. Ichigo/Zoey asks Kisshu/Dren what he's doing there and why he saved her and Kisshu/Dren tells her that he loves her and is going to fight for her, leaving Ichigo/Zoey shocked that Kisshu/Dren loves her and he gives her a kiss on the cheek and goes to fight against Deep Blue. Meanwhile, Taruto/Tarb fights against Pudding/Kikki and she tells him that he doesn't have to fight and that it's better that the two of them be friends and tells him that she appreciates him a lot and invites him to live with her and her siblings, making Taruto/Tarb to be confused and desperate, causing him to cry and attack Pudding/Kikki more, but she neutralizes him and the two hug each other crying and at the same time, Pie/Sardon fights Lettuce/Bridget, who tells him that all together they can live without destroying the Earth, but Pai/Sardon refuses to listen to her and continues to fight, but Lettuce/Bridget manages to neutralize him with her attack and they both fall exhausted to the ground, but Pai/Sardon still has the strength to stand up and head towards where Deep Blue is, while at the same time, Mint/Corina and Zakuro/Renee increase their attacks making them massive and they manage to defeat the Chimera Animal and they both fall exhausted to the ground and say that the rest will depend on Ichigo/Zoey and that she must save the Earth and while this is happening, Shirogane/Elliot sends Masha/Mini Mew to try to find the girls entering the ship, but Masha/Mini Mew falls to the ground, having run out of battery. Back with Ichigo/Zoey, she finds herself worried and wondering what to do as she watches the fight between Kisshu/Dren and Deep Blue, who lash out at each other; Kisshu/Dren managing to injure Deep Blue in his arm and Deep Blue injuring Kisshu/Dren near his ear and the fight becomes more and more aggressive when Kisshu/Dren lunges to attack Deep Blue, who manages to seriously injure him with his sword, sticking it into his chest, causing Kisshu/Dren to begin to bleed out and bleed from the mouth and seeing this Ichigo/Zoey is totally in shock at what she is watching, she remembers all the moments she had with Kisshu/Dren feeling tremendous pity for the alien and dying, Kisshu/Dren falls into the arms of Ichigo/Zoey, saying that he regrets that he could not win, since he expected to have a kiss from her as a reward and without being able to contain herself, Ichigo/Zoey begins to cry for him and before dying, Kisshu/Dren tries to kiss Ichigo/Zoey on the lips, but dies causing Ichigo/Zoey to cry inconsolably, while Deep Blue watches the scene and inside of him, something awakens causing him to see Ichigo/Zoey crying, Aoyama/Mark resurfaces again and horrified realizes everything he did as Deep Blue when a few drops of his blood fall on the ground, causing plants to grow, while Ichigo/Zoey is relieved and she looks at him knowing that Aoyama/Mark is still there and at the end of the episode and seeing what his blood did, Aoyama/Mark realizes that the Mew Aqua is inside his body and determined, he tells Ichigo/Zoey that if she uses the Mew Aqua that is inside him, she will be able to save everyone he hurt and grabbing his sword, he is about to plunge it into himself to the horror of Ichigo/Zoey, when at that moment, Deep Blue retakes control from his body and starts to strangle Ichigo/Zoey and in the next episode it will be the grand finale of how the Mew Mews save everyone on Earth, but now I'll leave Tokyo Mew Mew New aside and talk about an animated movie that has a place in my heart and in my childhood.
I remember that when I was very young, Cartoon Network used to air animated movies on weekend mornings in a special known as "Cinema Toon", in which they showed movies with not very good animation (they were low-budget animations to be exact), but the stories were very touching and educational with good songs (well, some of them, not all) that leave a mark on my childhood and the truth is, I didn't like to miss a single movie every time they were air in the morning. This animation studio that produced these films was called "Jetlag Productions", an American studio created in 1994 with animation similar to an anime, but not so great, under the company of "Goodtimes Home Entertainment" that would later be in charge of relaunching these films in VHS format (even my parents bought me some of these movies) and this company was in charge of producing movies of stories already known to the public such as Snow White And The Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alice In Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, The Jungle Book, Pocahontas, among other stories and in this case, one of my favorite Goodtimes movies is “Black Beauty”, based on the homonymous book written in 1877 by Anna Sewell, created in 1995 and mainly, is about a story that leaves as a teaching that we must treat animals with love and give them affection and a good life. This story takes place in England, where a beautiful black colt with a white spot in the middle of its forehead is born in some stables, which lives with its parents for a while, happily, until one day, it is sold to Squire Gordon and his family (his sick wife and their two daughters, Jessica and Molly) in Birtwirck Park and where he is called "Black Beauty" and there, Black Beauty will meet three other horses who live there: Merrylegs, Oliver and Ginger, a mare that has led a very hard and very sad life having been mistreated by her previous owners and which is why she is very aggressive and bites anyone who approaches her, but thanks to Black Beauty's kindness, she befriends him and later, he will meet the kind and charitable stable girl named Jenny, who becomes very fond of Black Beauty, taking care of him and the other horses. When one day, Squire Gordon's wife is in a very serious condition, so Jenny, mounted on Black Beauty, runs to the town to look for the doctor so that he can visit the wife on a cold night and the doctor without having his own horse, he rides Black Beauty despite Jenny telling him that he is very tired and upon reaching Birtwick Park, Black Beauty collapses from weakness and exhaustion all night while Jenny keeps him company and promises to take care of him, but unfortunately, the wind begins to blow very strong causing one of the windows of the stable to open and knock one of the lamps into the straw, setting fire to the stable and bravely risking her life, Jenny manages to save all the horses, pulling them out of the burning stable although she ends up inhaling smoke. The next morning, one of the gentleman tells Jenny and old Joe Black that the mistress is still very ill, so she and her family must move to another side of town and sell the horses separately; Merrylegs and Oliver are sold to a vicar and Black Beauty and Ginger are sold to Lady Wexmire and Jenny sadly says goodbye to Black Beauty and promises to meet him again one day. Unfortunately, for Black Beauty and Ginger, Lady Wexmire is an unconsiderate woman and very demanding and uncharitable with the horses, forcing them to wear very uncomfortable bridles, a fact that makes Ginger angry and ends up hurting Black Beauty in his leg and this leads to the fact that as soon as Black Beauty recovers from his leg, he is sold to Jerry Baker, a taxi driver (a kind and friendly man who treats him very well) who takes people in his carriage and poor Ginger ends up staying with Lady Wexmire so that her son uses her as a racehorse and when they meet again, Black Beauty sees how worn out, tired and sad his friend looks and encourages her to keep going and not give up. Later, when Black Beauty and Jerry Baker transport two drunk men in the middle of a snowfall, the carriage ends up falling and Black Beauty ends up hurting his leg, so Jerry Baker decides to sell him in a horse fair, where he is bought by Jenny, already married with a son and in turn, Ginger ends up being bought by a loving family and Black Beauty, happy to be reunited with the girl who took care of him, ends up being her son's new horse and leading a happy life, after having gone through many difficult and sad things.
I must say that I find the story very beautiful, but at the same time sad for the mistreatment that Black Beauty and Ginger receive and I feel very sorry when an animal is mistreated, even although not all the owners that Black Beauty had were so mean and the only one who truly loved him and treated him with affection was Jenny and the friendship between the two of them is very beautiful and tender and I'm glad that in the end, Black Beauty and she met once again and this time, nothing could separate them, ending the story on a happy ending (although the book has more details and the story is a bit sadder and more realistically told), but I think of all the Goodtimes movies that I saw, it is the one I like the most and the one I enjoy watching the most and I think the animation is not so bad and above all, the songs are very beautiful (especially the one about "Ride Away" makes me cry and is my favorite song from the movie) is a touching film that brings back nice memories of my childhood and the times I got to see it on Cartoon Network and that if you want to see it, you can find it complete on YouTube to enjoy it.
