hm.. interesting piece. seems a little bland when compared to some of your other work, but maybe that's just 'cause I'm used to there being a terrain to focus on. all in all I think this came out as well as it could.. I don't like that "star" brush (around the top explosion), but eh, whatever. still nice work.

You've gotten a lot better with making planets and the effects that go on with them with the explosions and what not. I loe your style. It's so smooth and awsome looking. If I could, I would buy a few prints from you. Keep up the good work man, you rule.

It all just fits... it's dark and cool and powerful. I like it. I've seen the phrase AAAA or another awesome alyn artwork and I figure that works here...

I like the starry background, the smaller of the middle planets and the bottom planet, but the other two... Hm. IMHO, something doesn't look quite right on the larger of the middle ones. Perhaps if there were perturbations (sp?) in the debree ring around it, near the explosion... Perhaps part of what looks odd is that I don't see why it's happening. It's just.. there, it doesn't look like it /came/ from anything. I think.
The top two... I think that the colliding moon could look better if its impacted side was a bit (more?) flattened, and the far end less fractured.
As for the graininess mentioned by another commenter... Hm, I dunno, but in my opinion it can fit the piece, as a part of its style. *shrugs* @_@
(oh my gosh, an actual critique! Fear it. o_o)

Some parts seem really cluttered and confusing which i geuss goes with the chaos theme and the planets look really low quality.

wonderful piece... individually the 3 different parts that draw your eye are outstanding.. but i think they are better left individual.. together they seem to loose some of it for some reason.. still a wonderful piece!

perfect,
don't you think the meteor striking the planet should have some momentum feel to it? it looks like it exploding from inside rather then cracking becos of the collision.

the three separate elements are all great, but they seem to spread out to me. the empty space really interrupts the flow from part to part. Other than that, pretty nice. Not your best, but still commendable!

hmm dude, this is not your class... both the planets up and down could have been better as well as the impact on the upper one.
You can do better man.
Middle part - fantastic. The belt around the planet is really cool as well as the nebula/explosion.
Overall Alyn this was not bad, not bad at all

very nicely done. so much incredible detail! (i'm assuming the graininess on the top and bottom planets is due to the jpeg compression and not weak textures.) each part is very well balanced, very intricate, and very well composed. great job on that. however for those same reasons, put all together, i cant seem to place where the focus of the entire piece lies. it seems compositionally weak as an artistic work. but i if you plan to make this a poster (another assumption from the shape of the work), all this drama is a good thing. love that starfield by the way.

On a side note, something I just noticed, your shockwave rings seem to be a bit too high on the planets; they don't seem like they're truly centered. I think I've seen that in a couple of your renderings.
