Description Just taking a short break from my weapon drawings, and moving on to share some basic battlefield equipment for the United Sovereignty of Nations. Fittingly, these deployable barriers are most commonly employed by the Shields; the main planetside fighting force of the Sovereignty military. Soon I'll have a much needed, updated version of the Shield's armor as well... but for now, let's check out the lore a bit:

M-190 Íonet: Somewhat similar in purpose to the Keltari shield variant, the M-190 Íonet is a defensive tool designed for more aggressive combat scenarios. This deployable/collapsible shield is unique in that it bolsters numerous razor sharp harmonic blades. Though not necessarily practical as weapons for sustained combat, the Íonet’s blades are nonetheless a decent offensive option in close quarter’s combat, especially when used as a more lethal counterattack. These blades project outwards from the bottom, top, and sides of the shield, and the one at the bottom can actually be fired as a short range projectile. Beyond it’s offensive capabilities, the Íonet is essentially no different from any other gauntlet mounted shields like the Kítesh and Aegis; it’s made from the same heat resistant carbon-titanium alloys and polymer meshes, and can project a mid-grade energetic barrier for additional defense. This shield stands 80 centimeters tall and 55 centimeters wide when fully deployed, with it’s energetic barrier projecting about 10 centimeters outwards from the physical boundaries of the shield. The Íonet’s bottom blade, when fired, travels with an initial velocity of 140 m/s.

(Project A is still in the works, so info here may be changed)
