Description It's that time again! Let's get straight into the lore:

1: M-35AK Sidewinder -  A relatively old, though still reliable weapon, the M-35AK Sidewinder is yet another assault rifle employed by the United Sovereignty of Nations. Although somewhat uncommon in current times, this weapon was actually wildly popular when it was first constructed, and there’s little surprise as to why. In addition to possessing both decent stopping power and fairly low recoil, the M-35AK is a double barreled weapon, making it great for close quarters or taking down large targets. Although it’s accuracy isn’t nearly as tight as most other assault rifles, this is rarely an issue, as the weapon is most commonly fielded for mid-to-close range missions anyway. The Sidewinder also has a high rate of fire and big magazine, which serves it well in large scale engagements. The only reason this weapon may not be as popular as it was in the past is due to the availability of other assault rifles that are just simply better in most other ways. Regardless, the rifle has not yet gone out of production, and likely won't for some time. For more specific statistics, this double barreled weapon fires 8.4x35mm projectiles at 790 RPM with a muzzle velocity of 2000 m/s, drawing from a large 140 round magazine. The weapon’s barrels fire in alternate succession, except when set to it’s semi-auto mode, in which case both barrels fire in unison. The Sidewinder also comes with a 1.5x to 2.5x zoom scope.

2: V-82 Trench Rifle - Another relatively rare, though young design, the V-82 Trench Rifle is an interesting weapon with a trick up it's sleeves. Like one would expect from any other assault rifle, the V-82 is a fully automatic kinetic weapon with decent stopping power and manageable recoil. However, this weapon in particular has a much tighter projectile spread and greater effective range than other rifles within this classification, so much so that the V-82 can almost keep up at the same distances as a DMR, while also retaining its fully automatic qualities. This alone makes the weapon great for intense long distance engagements. However, there is even more to the Trench Rifle than this. While virtually all Sovereignty weapons recycle some of the energy produced by their recoil to sustain their magnetic rails, this weapon takes that concept further by utilizing an array of capacitors to store up extra energy. With the flick of a switch, the V-82 can draw upon this extra power to both augment the muzzle velocity of its projectiles and infuse them with a burst of electrical energy. Although usually a short lived boon, this extra power can be extremely useful in dire circumstances. The only major downsides to this weapon is its reduced effectiveness in close quarters, and it’s somewhat high manufacturing price. For more specific statistics, this weapon fires 8.4x35mm projectiles at 650 RPM with a muzzle velocity of 1950 m/s, drawing from a 70 round magazine. In it’s enhanced mode, the weapon expels electrically charged projectiles at 2080 m/s. The rifle can also fire in semi-auto, and comes equipped with a 1.5x to 5x zoom scope.

First one has semi dicey ergo, but looks cool. The mag just... Ergh. It looks like you could beat someone to death with it if you ran out of ammo.
It has a soight, which is gud. Normally, this would be considered an LMG...
Second looks overly long for a bullpup. Reloading would be absolutely ass.
Overall, 7.8/10 on the quality scale. Looks functional and asthetic, with that nice SciFi feel without tacky bits.

Thanks!

Weapon classification for this particular setting is a bit dodgy I'll say, as it takes place many thousands and thousands of years into the future. What's considered an AR vs an LMG is quite a bit different compared to today; plenty of people within the setting itself would probably agree with you that the M-35AK is best considered an LMG as well.

The V-82 is indeed quite long. It's final design was an inadvertent deviation from the image I had in my head, though personally I still think it's not toooo long. It's just a tad skinny.
