I found 3 brown paper bags in the cupboard a few days ago and decided to practice painting with acrylics. This resulting painting is based on some photos I took at Whistler mountain in Vancouver: sta.sh/21ra68p619afThe composition is still meh - I originally wanted the three pieces to be able to stand alone as well, but I'm not so sure now.. Clearly I am impatient with painting all the rocks and do not do the photographs justice and try to cover the ground with grass and flowers instead. However, I think I am getting better at mixing colors using primaries now.. By the way, fan brush is my new best friend.
Decided to add the Little Prince to the painting because I think he would have loved to stand atop the mountain and look at the breathtaking panorama..

This is beautiful. As artists we're never happy with our work, but I really like the colors of the flowers and earth combined with the blue sky. The Little Prince is a bit hard to see, but it's overall quite lovely. I also think it's a very unique medium

I love this piece of art! Is so gorgeous, so full of color and details, and shows how you really can manage to draw perfectly well the different elements of nature. Also, I love the tones of the sky and the fluffyness of the clouds.
