Description This is for Round 6 of the designer challenge being held by  of in which the overall theme was Winger Holiday stuff, and everyone was then given an individual theme (generally with some leeway that they could go with a different specific inspiration as long as it still fit that theme.  For instance, I was given the theme of Snow Globes and was given this absolutely beautiful one based on a Thomas Kinkade painting. orig11.deviantart.net/9647/f/2…  She also said that I could use any other snow-globe as my inspiration, but honestly, I really loved this one so I stuck with it.  After studying it for a bit, I got the impression that it's meant to take place in Victorian times, or at least some time frame around then.  With that in mind, I decided to dress my model as if she was all bundled-up against the cold and I tried to make her clothes somewhat fit that time period.  I based the colors of her outfit on the house in the snow-globe, using the lighter blue for her dress along with some white trim here and there and the darker blue of the roof for her cape and a few other accents.  I also noticed a few key red accents so I tried to work some of those in... then I just couldn't let well enough alone and decided that since there was an adorable snow-man in both the globe itself and the painting around the base, that I would make a snow-man too.  Which, was NOT easy! I had to bring in a second model and completely cover her up with the snow-man, who had to be made completely from scratch.  Then I decided that I'd gone that far, and I might as well go a few steps further, and added in some framing on the sides (also using another model who then got covered-up with large pieces of hair) in order to give the focus of the picture a round-ish appearance, as if the two figures are actually in a snow globe.  Then it was just a matter of adding more snow falling around them, and I called it good. Oh, and if you're wondering how I managed to get a carrot on the snow-man's nose when those are exclusive to the guy's side... I cheated a bit, and brought up a male doll, then placed the carrot as far out off to the left side as I could. (You can actually drag objects "off-screen" and they'll go at least as far as the pink part of the webpage.)  Then, I just went back to the "view" page and positioned the carrot where I needed it to be, and the guy was completely off-screen.  I wouldn't recommend it for more than one item though, because positioning could get VERY tricky when you're trying to do it blind.  Aaaanyway, I hope this works okay for the challenge.  If I get a chance to, I'll try making another entry using the second inspiration piece I was given (everyone got two, but doing anything with the second piece was optional) since it's completely beautiful! We'll just see if I can make some time for it. *L*  As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Indeed you found an original way to interprete the theme - by making the entire scene look like a glass ball!
I especially like all the details of the snowman -  his hat and scarf are nicely made. But most of all I like how you made the texture of snow on him !
