The group Doll-MakerBuffs is doing a "Winter Weather" themed contest, so I made this doll inspired by the type of winter weather we tend to get in my area... which is mostly rain, some freezing rain, ice and sometimes even snow. We also get a lot of wind, so combining all these ideas together, I came up with this "Winter Dancer" who is also somewhat inspired by some of the costumes I would see in the ballet "The Nutcracker". Thank you! I was pulling inspiration from several different sources, but mostly from some of the longer dresses that ballerinas will sometimes wear, and also I was remember some ice-skating outfits that would sometimes have crystals hanging from various parts of the skirt. And I wanted it to look like it could have been made with feathers sewn onto it look like snow. I'm glad that you like it!

Thank you! Snow in its various stages is kind of what I had in mind when making it. (Especially when it melts a bit and re freezes, and sometimes gets slushy, and you get all cold and wet and just want to curl up by a fire and drink coco...)

Yeeeeeah, a bit. *L* Plus, I'm more than a bit OCD sometimes, so even if no one else can see a pattern, I had to make sure everything was placed "just so" or it would have driven me (more) nuts. I'm glad you like it.
