Description A rather small kanzashi, since it was designed to be worn by a little girl.

Each sakura flower is aprox. 2,5 cm, cut and folded by Yours truly, from hand-painted Polish silk.

The base is a chiyogami-patterned paper, varnished for resistance.

It was made for Rozalia, 's little daughter - she has her B-day in April, like me so this one was really important to make it right.

I am sure by now you have saved this piece, but i have to agree with the mother's appraisal of the akward connection to the pin. The flowers are perfect. May i ask how you saved it in the end? you might have said in the other posts but sadly i can not read the language above.

Well, the point is she had issues with it simply because the had no idea about what she wanted. She wanted a 'maiko-like' pin and I've made one. She approved and just after I finished it she changed her mind. It looked much like this, just the flowers were less adjustable and the stem had to be thicker than is here...

Ahhh .. sounds like it was a case of uninformed buyer. I am glad it was resolved.

She simply thought 'it looked different' when I sent her some photos of other kanzashi from the back.

Actually the girl's mom wanted didn't like the long the stem (the little leg that's connecting the flowers to the pin), and wanted me to hide/shorten after it has been already asembeled and when I tried it has fallen apart...

I'm trying to resuscitate it now, but I'm afarid that's it for this one...

It wasn't easy, but I think the patient will live

Sorry to hear about that, and for being here too late. But I think you should use hot glue to attach them together first, then cover with fabric stripes or strings. It should be enough to secure the whole bouquet before you put it on the prong.

These flowers are just too beautiful to waste :"( Pale and delicate, yet giving out a mature feeling at the same time. I like them very much
