I've been working on various projects for a while now, which is great after being a little bereft of work for some time, but it hasn't left me much time to do anything for myself. So tonight I took a wee whim to do something about that.I was actually just doing a bit of light housecleaning in my colouring folder, getting rid of some PSDs I'm never gonna bother finishing, and dumping a bunch of lines I've nabbed from various other deviants, but in the process I spotted these lovely inks by Mark Morales that I nabbed a coupla weeks ago, and thought it looked like just the ticket for a bit of self-indulgence. And okay, so the image isn't exactly teeming with detail, but I'm still pretty impressed at how quickly I managed this. Maybe about 4 hours or so from opening the inks, I think - that's lightning-quick for me!
Anyway, it's not at all how I expected it to come out, but then that's often the way these things go for me. Oh, and it also shows the first outing of my new colouring sig - about time I got that sorted out!

Ach, they seemed to be okay about it after I took a wee break, but the fact that I *had* to take a break was just bizarre. No wonder more popular folk don't respond to all their +favs! ^_^

Great lines tho. You should still have a crack at them - don't let my juvenile efforts dissuade you. It'd be interesting to see your take.
Oh, and on that subject, I think I've found some nice lines for us to do our wee comparison thing on (well, a pick of 3). Still haven't got around to figuring out livestream yet, but I'll get there!

All by the same artist, and all part of a series, but they're just such lovely images. Not huge resolution, but big enough to work with. I think probably the third one, as that'd be the simplest to flat. Not sure the art's particularly suited to either of our styles, but then that'll just makethe challenge more interesting! ^_^

Haha, i've done a few bits of Paulo's stuff now, and have the hi-res for one of those (got it from Paulo, give him a shout he's very friendly! Ask him for the hi-res's for colours)... i'd be up for any of em really, but i'll take a longer look and maybe shout my fave out (i'm looking at the Sue Storm one most though!)
Got those Jubes and Logan flats, thanks for putting them up dude... be a while, but i'm well up for that as a practice
