Description Another wee cool-down piece finished tonight. I actually did most of the work on this a couple of months ago, experimenting with a variation on cuts & grads (cuz I just can't master that technique!), but just wasn't happy with how it looked. I went a bit mental tonight, just screwing around with the layers, throwing about some gradients & the like. It ended up with this really odd palette, but that was just what worked best.

Jeez, this is awesome. So many choices I couldn't have thought of, let alone made. The palette, the mix of soft and hard cell shading, the colour holds (red on the laces!)... I could go on. Makes me wanna experiment more

Actually, a lot of the stuff you mentioned only came out as a result of me screwing around with layers & such after I'd finished the actual work. Well, the "mix of soft and hard cell shading" was actually just the fact that I just can't master cuts & grads, but everything else is essentially post-work. Your own stuff looks great tho - I don't think you have anything to worry about! ^_^
