Description I had to inspirations for this picture:
1) the horribly bad book "Rage across Australia"
2) the myth of the bloodfeeding thylacine which lasted at least up to the 1980s and even seemed to have been believed by Eric Guiler

No idea why the makers of Rage across Australia never thought of this. By the time the thylacine died out and the bloodfeeding myth was around (I think it was first near the end of the 19th century) vampires were already established in Australia, the Bunyip were gone and the other Garou were fighting amongst each other.
They had a werewolf fall in love with a Gangrel vampire whom he mistook for werewolf at first, even Bunyip who had become spirits, but a vampire who had learned to take on thylacine shape didn't seem to occur to them.

Well it occured to me and this is one of the fruits of that (the other is for nWoD). Since this is oWoD only a Gangrel vampire or a specific bloodline would be able to take on this form. Well I found no reason for a bloodline, and was partly too lazy to think of one so I simply stuck with a Gangrel. I also didn't took a native Tasmanian since there would be no explanation why one would have been embraced in the first place, except for the random chaotic embrace. So I took a tasmanian born British. That such a person once becoming a vampire might turn into a thylacine I think makes sense given the superstition and sometimes paranoia surrounding the being.

The name I chose because that was one of the many names of the thylacine.
