It was the old old tale, great game, great story, great community, but not making profit (thats profit not revenue) to keep the Korean megacorp known as NCSoft from kicking it to the curb. Those money gluttons treated thier buyers like crud and gave us 2 months notice before they shut the game down. Sad thing, they have yet to sell the rights; so Statesman (the in game equivilant of Superman and Cap America) is perma dead and the universe about to be offed by some alien force until such a time as they choose to sell which could be years if ever. Cruddy note to end the universe on. The good news is that the community is still kicking and planning a new game as a sort of "Spiritual Successor". The efforts are a bit dysfuctional right now, but I have faith that we'll pull it off.
