Okaaay, this is my first realistic eye^^. I must say, I´m a bit proud ;].I really like how I drew this, but it took a long time

The iris is good as is the eyelids. The pupil is somewhat off-centered, though.

Ooh, very nice! It can be hard to draw eyes, but they're fun to work on! I've tried it out a few times and they seem to come out alright, it's the rest of the face that I have trouble with ><
Anyway, keep it up and try drawing more like this!

Yes, I agree. At first it took a looong time to draw eyes, now I can draw them faster ;].
I read some nose/eyes/mouth-Tutorials, so I can learn how to draw realistic things^^. Like a `self-taught-"artist"´.
I was thinking about a friends words. She said: "Wow, you´re like an artist." But I was just thinking: An artist? No, not really. I can call myself "artist" when I can awake specific emotions in a person with a drawing.
Do you know what I mean =]? Please tell me, what do you think about it^^? What´s your opinion, when can you call yourself "artist" o.o? xD

You're very welcome! And yes, I completely agree with you. To be a true artist is to inspire and have others understand the messages you're trying to send out. Anyone, whether in music, a writer, a painter . . . if I can find the motivation to want to create something because of them, then they are artists in my eyes! ^-^

Yes! You´re right x]. I don´t think there are so many people, who can call themselves artist, but everybody has a different view of art. But do you really think that a dab of paint for example is art? I mean... You can see those pictures in some museums and they gain a lot of money with those pictures xD. I don´t really know, what´s so creative on such a work xD. Do you know what I´m trying to say? I´d like to say much more, but I can´t really verbalize it ^^.

Yeah, a glop of paint on a canvas isn't really my idea of art either,but like you said, everyone has their own views. Emotions should be put behind anything a person creates for it to become something that inspires. So I guess we both agree on this?

There are some people you can´t talk with about such a subject, because if they have an other opinion as you, they always become personal, because they don´t have plausible arguments xD.
