Nope, hell hasn't frozen over!
So, I've been slowly working my way through the 'Key to Time' season of Doctor Who over the past few days, and tonight I finished the final episode of "The Pirate Planet" written by Douglas Adams. It's certainley not his best work, but I did love the design of the costume for the Pirate Captain, even if I couldn't tell what the character was saying at some points!
So anyway, have a ponified Pirate Captain, minus his Robotic Parrot.

Well, with so many story lines it's practically impossible to pin point one as a favourite, but I do have a small short-list of episodes I regard highly, such as "The Seeds of Doom" & "The Green Death", though truth be told I'm a big fan of the Troughton era, which had me over the moon with the recently recovered episodes.

Indeed that was a very good story. A tad over-long perhaps, but on the whole a very good end the 1960s era.

Indeed, he certainly had so much potential (And he's certainly proved it with the Big Finish audio series!) It was just a shame about certain scriptwriters and far too tighter budgets.

Yeah, but Grade and the BBC cut the episode length down. A lot. Plus he was the one who said they should fire Baker (and thus have the Doctor regenerate by means of a konck to the head).

I actually thought the robotic parrot was pretty cool! K-9 really kicked its metallic tail feathers in that episode!

The design of it was actually pretty awesome, though I think it was the quick dialogue that was just brilliant:
"Guards! Destroy the generator!"
"Captain, do the guards actually know what the generator looks like?"
".........Guards! Destroy EVERYTHING!!!"

And those "Guards" had worse aim than Storm Troopers!

"The Pirate Planet" had some great moments. Tom Baker in an Adams script - they're just so perfectly suited to each other!

I'll agree it did have its good moments, and Adam's certainley did have a great ability to script lines for Baker that suited him perfectly.

No, due to how the metal strip sweeps down under where his chin bone would be it resembles more of a buccaneer moustache,
