Description From "World Quidditch: Ahead of the Game" - Summer 2000 Special Issue
This magazine, the leading authority on international Quidditch, featured this poster as part of its series - "World Cup 2000" - about the stars of the national squads to compete in the World Cup held in England.
I came across this old issue while cleaning my room, and thought it was worth sharing this poster of my favourite player with the many fans of this sport...

Jokes aside, the robes are based on those worn by Krum in the film "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
The Bulgarian Quidditch Union and Quidditch World Cup logos are mine.

Awesome, bloody awesome. Nothing short of incredible. I would seriously believe that this would be on the front cover of a specialist Quidditich magazine. I have no idea how but you've made me believe that there is an actually career history - he's not just a poser, he is an actual experienced player and is being showcased as such. Not resting on his laurels but is sitting atop some significant accomplishments. Great job, love it.

This deviation was part of an exercise on printed media I did just for the laugh and to illustrate the magazine one of my mates mentioned on her HP fanfic -[link]
I tried to imitate the style of those monthly sport publications focused on football, rugby, etc...
Again, thanks for your comment.

I love this, he looks far more Krum-ish than than Stanislav!

That was the idea. Stanislav looks good, that goes without saying, but he's not Viktor Krum, at least not the Viktor Krum as in the books.

shiroixhato In reply to Breogan [2011-12-08 05:40:57 +0000 UTC]

I imagined a different Viktor too. Though Stanislav is not bad at all.

I dont think age is the problem with Viktor in HP&TGoF. I remember a comment in the book about people finding hard to believe Krum was only 18, given his appearance and attitude. I guess the fact that Stanislav Ianevski looks more lilke a boxer than anything else is the real problem: too broad, not slim or tall enough.
But as with previous films, the major problem is the adaptation made for the silver screen *sigh* Poor Sran had to play a Viktor that was more brutish and had far less depth than his book counterpart. A pity.
