Description
A few years ago I wrote this novel called "The Drawing Book Monsters" and it's finally getting published. This is not a "graphic novel" but a work of prose fiction. I also provided a color cover illustration (above) and 4 interior black and white spot illustrations. (ya gotta get the book to see those!)My story will be broken up into 3 parts, over the first 3 volumes of a new modern "pulp fiction" anthology periodical called "VISIONS".

The novel I wrote for this pulp anthology, "The Drawing Book Monsters", concerns a boy who loves to draw monsters. I won't spoil the plot but it isn't long before he finds himself encountering some very real monsters. Chaos ensues from there.
So if you enjoy a good old fashioned horror story, or just my illustrations, I hope you might order a copy.

Pretty frickin' cool! I like your werewolves! Yours and David Hartman's inspires me to get my werewolf graphic novel off the ground.
I'm still waiting to see your interpretation of "Escape From New York" Do you do commissions? If so, I might have to commission you to do that so I can finally see it. It would go great with your version of "The Thing."

I love all the monsters, but what I really like is that punk skeleton in the far right corner. That just kicks so much ass.

I hope not! Actually I would prefer to just do the black and white interior spot illustrations for each segment, and let the main cover (shown here) be the cover for the whole thing. But it depends on the format of the anthology book, of course. If it's set up in such a way where they want a cover for each section in each volume, then I will be doing covers for the other 2 sections as well. Not sure yet!

Do you know if this will be available at "Borders Books"? That's where I bought "Freaks!".

I hope it will be available at big bookstores, but I am not sure. You could probably ask the people who work at Borders to special order it for you, that's what I do whenever there's a book I want that they don't have on site. It only takes a couple of days and doesn't cost you anything extra.

Yes, Borders does special order things...
Once, I thought about ordering "Thunder Lizards", which they only had available at their warehouse. I decided to wait for "Dinosaurs" to be published. My friend took me on a shopping spree for Christmas, and that was one of the four I bought. I also got "Beasts" too... I was inspired to buy them after liking "Freaks" so much.
After what you told me in a note, I wanted to buy some of your publications. A special order sounds perfect! Thanks for the suggestion.

Just make sure you have the publisher's name as well as the title. The more info you can give the good folks at Borders the easier it is for them to track the book down and order it. I'm sure there could be other books out there called "Visions" that have nothing to do with this one! And you don't want a mix-up. All the info can be found at the Amazon page, at the link I've provided in my "Author's comments" and my DA Journal about this.

Not in this case because I am only one of several authors on this project. Like I said, the more info you can give them at Borders (publisher's name and names of all authors) the more luck you will have with them finding it for you.

Gahhhh I had an idea similar to this and now I can never use it and I will never become a great writer because my best idea was already taken and I'm going on for a long time without taking a breath and I'm pretty sure that I'm eventually going to pass -- *thump*
