people in NYC and Chicago complain about living so close to the subway and train that they can't sleep.
ladies and gentlemen, you can't get any closer than this.
no, this place isn't abandoned. as you saw in the shot entitled "family", these mats in between tracks are places where people actually live.
life consists of watching trains pass by.
each train marks a quarter of an hour passed by.
each train whizzing just a few feet by you and what little possessions you have.
life is beautiful, isn't it?
makes you want to complain a little more...

these are people who are really in danger. We have instances where people get hurt by being too close to the train and its tracks.
Here in the Philippines we also have people living at the sides of the train tracks. Shanties left and right, above and below each other. The situation is a bit depressing and sad. Sometimes people do take for granted the things they currently have. This is a reality that people should be aware about.
