Very interesting idea, but like Gekster said, you need to emphasize the ball more. The use of colour works very well, but to really have it stand out, you need to increase the use of space. So, maybe just take a closer shot of the ball?

Keep on experimenting.

Again maybe bring the ball more into the foreground so as to emphesize it's being there. The colour may make it more evident and stand out from the background but somehow it is still lost in the vastness of the space around it. The picture does remind me of summer days or something like it . It's nice, but it would work even better if the ball was used by people playin' there!
