NOTE: Let me get it out of the way and apologize for the Angry Megatron Boner that greeted you this unsuspecting morning.

Okay, here be the final fanart to my Transformers joke trilogy. I’ve had this joke on hold for forever and a day in my brain, always thinking it was probably too inappropriate for my site.
And then I looked at my site.
I draw a whole lotta uncomfortable jokes that technically don’t register as mature. Yeah, it’s a gift. Anyway, I think Ramjet has some guff looking like he does and making fun of Megatron’s unfortunate shape.

I adore Megatron, he’s gotta be my favorite baddie of all time. I think it was his voice; he was as generic as 80’s villains could be, but it was that voice! That voice could convince you that, yeah, erupting all the planet’s volcanoes at the same time (while you’re still standing on said planet) is a great plan to collect energy! He convinced you with that commanding yet quivering voice that his ideas were totally more rational than anime fanfiction. The voice actor said he tried to mix a sense of pain into his inflection, I think it worked since for some reason I kinda pitied the character.

About the art, I think Megatron has to be one of the coolest and hardest character designs ever. Every time I attempt to draw his face, it never looked quite right. And all the fanart I’ve seen seems to suffer from my plight. I’ve come across only a handful of drawings that capture that horse-like physique perfectly. I’m pretty happy with most of this one.

Oh! Runner-up for coolest bad guy to watch is Glavatron, because I have yet to see another villain so schizophrenically bipolar as he was: “That is a great idea! HOW DARE YOU TAKE SUCH CREDIT AWAY FROM ME!!”

Now I’ve burned-out my ideas for tribute to my favorite childhood cartoon—it was awesome growing up in the 80s…because being born in the 90s would have made me aware of how stupid the 80s were. Enjoy my art buddies!
