Work in progress, the clay was still wet when I took this picture - the colour is an acrylic base coat I use to stop the clay drying too quickly.Related content

They were called Kaled's . Just in case you need to know xD

The term Kaled refers to the Skaro mutants from the Thal-Kaled war originally of the Kaled race the creatures in the new series are created from the alteration of human DNA, So I'm assuming we shouldn't call them Kaleds.
Whatever you prefer I quite enjoyed making it though.

hmm interesting thought...but weren't Davros's imperial Daleks also created from human tissue?
And the new series daleks Emperor Daleks would be from human DNA, (which like Kaled was set by the Time Lords morphic field being earliest to evolve in our universe) but Davros's lot at the most recent end were made from bits of Davros, and so Kaled again...the first Dalek in the new series was either pure Dalek/Kaled, or Human/Dalek from the Imperial Dalek faction...then we we have emperor human daleks, and davros bron daleks, and then theres the cult of Skaro, who most like are descended from the Dalek/Human hybrids the second Doctor helped create and lead to the Dalek rebellion way back when....who in turn were made from recordings of Jamie....Daleks in Kilts theres an idea.

It is a very nice sculpt. I daresay a spot of varnishing will bring out the translucent gooeyness of it all.

I am a bit of a purist when it comes to Daleks and Hartnell's Silver and blue alien/machine creatures are still the best to me and there is talk of a return of the silver Daleks. it would be interesting to do a sculpt based on the description of the original script but I don't think there is enough detail there to give a good ground to work to. perhaps I will have a go at Skarroth next. thanks for the comments!

Scaroth? That spaghetti will keep you going for hours.
On the plus side, rewatching city of death for reference would be fun. Lot of good lines in that, and I can't satnd Baker the First these days.
What would be fun with that sculpt would be doing abust and hand, so that its when he's pulling the mask off...would cut down your spaghetti needs too
