Taking over the guard soothes some of Vitani's unsettled nature after being accepted into the Pridelands -- patrolling, training and the occasional exciting scuffle at the borders reminds her of the place that she will always, truthfully, call home. Being Simba's immediate subordinate still makes her a uneasy. As the defacto leader of the Outlander lionesses amongst the pride, she behaves in order to set an example and maintain order.

She has a cub with a rogue. While she does love the scamp, Nnamdi does not fill a gaping hole in her heart. Then, she stumbles upon Giza -- a big, brutish maned lioness who has taken up a little strip of land straddling the Pridelands border.
