Last summer I found a rabbit nest in our front lawn. This is just after the babies started moving out of the nest - they didn't know what to make of peoples.Related content

I remember the time when I saw the nest with baby newborn bunnies hidden in the pile of grass when I was mowing the lawn.
I also remember the time when one of the rabbits look into my guinea pig once thinking it's a weird rabbit.

In and around Richmond, there's a lot of farm land and along the walkways in our parks there's lots of rabbits, all over the place. They must have homes in the pseudo-rural land plots and roam around. They're wild for the most part, but they aren't scared of humans. It's just so weird, because they're everywhere, even along the highway and busy streets. I suppose what they say about bunnies is true.

We've never had baby rabbits so clost to us. Baby deer, yes, but only grown-up rabbits.

Nah, Tim and Charlie are "innies." I've lost one cat to feline leukemia, don't want to see that happen again - and we live too close to major roads for me to feel safe letting them roam.
They do leave presents though - we had a couple of crickets chirping their faces off in our basement the first spring we had the cats. Could hear them through the whole dang house but sure couldn't find 'em. After about four days of that, we woke up to find four little cricket carcasses - minus their heads - lined up at the bottom of the basement stairs. Very creepy. But no more chirping, yay!
