Last month I decided that I wanted to give painting something realistic a shot, so I sat down, opened up my camera roll, and painted using the first picture I saw as a reference. This is my old cat Gracie, who managed to make it to the ripe old age of 20. She was passed down from college kid to college kid before finally settling with my parents and I. We were her sixth owners. Originally, we were only supposed to be catsitting for a few weeks, but weeks turned into months and when we eventually gave her back, we ended up missing her and asked if we could keep her. She was calm, affectionate, playful, and sneezed on everything constantly. The ceiling in our hallway was covered in snot because of this tiny 6 lb cat. I suspect she may have been allergic to herself or humans or other cats or something along those lines. It was to the point where all you had to do to win an argument or get someone to shut up was pick up Gracie and point her at someone, as she would almost definitely sneeze on that person if they didn't back down quickly.
