Back in October, I revisited the Warriors series (which was my childhood obession for yEARS) and was listening to the audio books. I think I stopped keeping up with the new books after The Power of Three ended, and now there are like, more than twice as many books as there used to be, which is wild, because the series was already huge before! I actually owe pretty much any and all writing skills I have to my past obession with this series, as the years I spent roleplaying Warriors gave me so much writing practice, which is sadly something that I have not done a whole lot of since then.

For some reason, or maybe for a variety of reasons, the older I get, the harder I find it to actually sit down and read, but audio books are a wonderful alternative. Now if only I could find audio books somewhere other than audible, I mean, first of all, screw Amazon, and second of all, the audio book price for a lotta books on there are actually waaaaay higher than buying a physical copy of the book would be, which I think is some bullshit. If anyone knows of a better alternative, please let me know. I'd like to make my way through the rest of the series and maybe just listen to more audio books in general.

Anyway, I digress. Revisiting the series inspired me to draw one of my all time favorite characters, Yellowfang. She's gotta be one of the best grouchy old ladies in all of fiction, and I'm willing to fight people on that. Like I think many people probably did, I always saw her as a beat-up looking persian cat. My other favorite character, later down the line, was Jayfeather. I might get around to painting him one day too.
