Billy is from Black Christmas. And I love Jay and Fred also, but the comic is bout horror in general, they're not in every strip.

In the original, you hear him say "It's me, Billy!" on the phone.

I read and heard he was called Billy in the original in my research, but that might have been to make it easier to follow. We never actually see him in the original.
