Hey guys! So here's my contribution to this year's Link's Blacklist over at KING HELMASAUR nom nom nom. Pretty much my favorite boss from my favorite Zelda title, Link to the Past. I hope you like it! I had to do some crazy 3D modeling in Cad to get this scene set up the way I wanted it, that may become kind of a regular thing until I get the hang of perspective. I tried to mess around with this complementary color scheme, but the whole thing ended up orange anyway.
Hope you like it! Very excited to finally get in on Link's Blacklist. Thanks GA HQ, you guys rock!

Well, being eaten might of been a better fate than to be stabbed by the tail and about to be fried, i duno.
I toldya that trigger would bleed over, we even had a delay! So there wasnt that much need to rush art out at least for your CT stuff, like how I'm still chipping away now and then at the ocean palace.

Haha, thanks! I agreed to do it before I googled all the fan art of it, and I admit I got pretty discouraged at first when I saw all the AMAZING Helmasaur King fanarts out there! But I did my best to bring something new to the table, and I'm glad you like it.

Interesting use of AutoCad.
Perhaps an easier way would be to look at lizards photo's and video's for reference.
How they clamp against a wall and then use that as a base for your image.

Thank you! Don't worry I did use tons of references! Although that was more for the textures, lighting, and jaw shape. Lots of salamanders.

Well this is a very pleasant surprise.Β When I was in elementary school and had a friend with an SNES, he had ALttP.Β We had no real idea what to do or where to go in the game so we just enjoyed wandering around, but I do recall we got to a few bosses, and this was one of them...and it was one I always remembered as being the coolest scorpion dragon ever.
This held true when I got the game on GBA.Β Oh I do have fun fighting this guy.

Dude yes. My dad's girlfriend gave it to me as a kid, and she had a strategy guide so I was able to figure it out mostly. But he inspired fear into my little kid mind. A triple threat: fireballs, he could run you over, and you had to dodge the tail. And hopping into melee range was the only way to kill him? Man. It wasn't easy to make anyone look like a badass in the old days with those chunky sprites, but winning this fight made me feel like a warrior. I tried to do him justice, I'm glad you like it. 
I ended up picking up the game the moment it hit virtual console on the Wii and Wii U. Still so good.
