I visited your page anyways; I think your black and white shots show promise. I like high contrast, but keep in mind that you don't want to blow out the highlights too much. This shot, for example, could have slightly better contrast, but the background highlights are already being lost to the white, and by the bolts in the foreground the shadows are too dark to make out the detail.
