AIME is indeed a good AI. She's going to be a recurring character, and the narrator of many Republic based stories.
The AI's of the setting (except military droid AI's) are all mostly within the UCR (the nice guys utopian government people) So the AI's will reflect that peaceful outlook that the republic wants to have.
There have been a few... 'incidents'.... regarding the AI's like her in the setting.
One trying to achieve singularity, prompting the UCR to destroy the colony and essentially the planet it was on out of fear, and everyone on it (icident was called a natural disaster and records were removed)
Or the Republic tried to build an AI that looked exactly like a human, fake skin and all. She thought she was one too, until she was injured and realized she wasn't resulting in the deaths of numerous republic personall.
etc etc.
Regardless, AIME is good, peaceful, and loyal to the humans she works with... Though she just has a few quirks and hobbies...
