An adorable, conclusive, Final Fantasy, but I sincerely doubt the Walt Disney Corporation would muster the courage to animate or even discuss Kingdom Hearts in ANY capacity. And why wouldnβt they? The story, characters and design is a mishapen mishmash of meandering nonsense that makes the story and design of Bayformers supreme by comparison. Disney is partially responsible for Kingdom Hearts, the least they could do is being over some script editors and character designers to whip this game series into shape, and simplify everything. Disney didnβt become a household name for releasing movies and giving out overly complex and nonsensical prequels and prequels before the prequels with increasingly labyrinthine plot details that donβt add up to anything. All detail, no depth. All design, no style. All complexity, but no comprehensible meaning.

This is cute, but I always thought they mismatched Donald and Goofy. Donald is the most physical,Β temperamental, and probably strongest of the bunch and he should've been the warrior/knight, not pacifist and clumsy Goofy. I'll never know what Square Enix was thinking!Β

We have Nomura-San to thank for this mismatch, but at least they get the job done. And for the record, he WASNβT thinking while developing this franchise. He was merely padding it out to keep the interest going until Kingdom Hearts III was ready for release. Hardcore fans might appreciate it but the mainstream audience and newcomers like ourselves have our limits in patience.

My thoughts exactly. Nomura didn't respect Donald enough to give him a role fitting his personality but then he goes and gives Mickey TOO much respect by making Donald and Goofy (and almost everyone else) constantly refer to Mickey as "the King" like he's some god or something.Β
And Donald should've been the brawler. That whole Zettaflare scene was nice and all but it was too little, too late in my opinion and I hope Donald continues to play a role in the bigger story of Kingdom Hearts.Β

Eh, wouldn't do much to compare against the Final Fantasy wannabes that populate the series.
