LOL! yes he did a great job! I have pics of me looking sorta like that lol on www.melissacoates.com, my twitter page at melissalcoates, and my facebook page at realmelissacoates. Its a great shot incorporating a current shoot I just did. Dave made my biceps a little more how they used to look when I was competing.
I am comtemplating returning to the stage, perhaps in the physique/figure division as I'm involved in pro wrestling and some acting, and the look of current top bodybuilders would put me out of the zone of my other interests.
My email is melissacoates@yahoo.com, and my website has lists of my recent works, such as my WWE developmental work at Ohio Valley Wrestling and Deep South Wrestling, plus the WWE ppv BACKLASH 2005. I was also on the popular game show EXTREME DODGEBALL seasons 1 and 2 (2004/2005) which still play as reruns on TV, as part of the BARBELL MAFIA team. As for film credits, besides the late 90s film "NEMESIS 3:TIME LAPSE" (also starring Sue Price, Debbie Muggli, Sharon Bruneau, Ursula Sarcev), the recent wrestling film "ULTIMATE DEATH MATCH:SOMEONE WILL DIE" also starring UFC Legend Dan Severn, and former WWE/TnA/ECW/WCW wrestling stars Raven, Shane Douglas, Al Snow, Brutus Beefcake, Kevin Nash, Kid Kash and more. And 2 recently done independent films, the award winning "A Story About Ian" and the soon to be released Evan Ginzburg docu-film called "The Stage Is An Altar". Evan in an authority on pro wrestling with his Legends of the Ring radio show and newsletter, and he was the A.P. for the HUGE film starring Mickey Rourke "The Wrestler"

Used to see you on Jeff Everson's show years back Melisa. You look great. I always told the WWE to put the stronger girls in the ring over the pure divas. You should have been a star with them and maybe still will be. I've met a few of the guys over the years living in the area and going to the me gym at one point in Stamford. Best of luck with everything.
This is a nice rendering Dave did.

Thank you, Melissa! Your kind words mean a lot!
As for other projects: of course I've got my ongoing Tetsuko comic (starting here [link] ), and I also do a series of calendars featuring Tetsuko dressed as ("cosplaying") various female stars of TV, movies, video games, and other pop culture.
Although it's on the back burner (I haven't worked on it for awhile), I also have the Satin Steele comic; I do intend to return to it one day. (Satin actually appears in two versions: a more "superheroine"-style character in small-press comics I did in the '90s [link] and a more "slice of life" story about her bodybuilding career [link] )
And the occasional miscellaneous pic of a buffed and beautiful babe...

So did you end up coloring this in Photoshop or Manga Studio? Either way, it looks awesome!

I ended up coloring it in Photoshop; learning how to color (the way I do in PS) in MS is going to take a bit more learning. (I haven't found an equivalent to an airbrush tool in MS yet, for example.)
And thanks for the kind words!

Have you tried the Pattern Brush in MS yet? That lets you select from different brushes, including some soft airbrushy type ones, like Brush A, Brush B, etc. Not sure if it would be completely equivalent to coloring in PS, though.
