Description
climb the stairs and your soul will rise from the base of the tree to eternity. The roots are like living vessels. The spheres are religions of the world. Pieces of mirror are in the original so you can see yourself in the Tree. It's about 40"x50". There is a circle of life as the birds become leaves and the leaves become fish. the purpose of this tree is healing- it hangs in a kind of new age women's hospital. I painted it in oil but it has acrylic paint and junk glued on it like glass beads and plastic leaves I collected off of Hobby Lobby's floor.Related content

Interesting concepts. My congregation bears the name "Etz Chaim" (in addition to "Monroe Township Jewish Center"), and so this is interesting to me, as "Etz Chaim" means "Tree of Life".

I freaking love this piece! I just found it while looking up info and pictures of Yggdrasil and saw this and thought, "This is f@#%ing awesome". I think though what woudl've been neat if you arranged the symbols and added some more of what religions sprung from where, like christianity and Islam sprang from Judaic roots or sikhism, buddhism and Jainism sprang from hinduism. Idk just a thought, but I love it as it is, great work!

This is a very beautiful. It captures a very old charm, like something I'd find as an engraving in an old grimorie or something. The incorporation of all the different religious icons makes it very arcane looking.
