Description I made this concept back in fall 2008. I had to design a low-end pair of computer speakers with a target price of only $10 to replace the current model made by Kinyo.

The sketches were drawn with a blue pen.

The production-ready 3D model and the technical drawings were made on Solid Works.

The render was made on Bunkspeed Shot more recently.

The scale model on the bottom right was sculpted in Renshape high-density foam. It was then painted with Krylon spray paint. The fabric-covered front is a sheet of polystyrene that I vacuum-formed over my Renshape model. I then covered it with speaker fabric and glued it to the painted model.

Merci beaucoup!

wow mate... detailed picture! If they do sound as good as they look I want them They look much better than most $10 speakers do actually... You should design some bigger speakers, a replacement for the speakers standing on my desk for example which have quite a bit more power and which are a lot bigger in size

Wow thanks for the great comment! I really appreciate!

It's the only speaker design I've ever made but IF only I wasn't forced to respect the $10 price tag, I would've created a more eccentric design and probably would've made it bigger and more powerful too hehe!

Haha, no problem mate. I know you would have done that... it's nice you didn't anyway. It's always great fun and challenging to work on something within given limitations. Really pushes you towards the limits, like you did in this case!

Yeah definitely! Anyway no company runs projects without constraints so it was a good practice for what I'll have to face during my future career too.
