Bored??? I don't think that was the case.
And if it WAS, and that person expects everyone to cheer him/her up, then that's....rather pathetic.
But as said: I don't think that was the case.

Perhaps they didn't mean bored as in nothing to do, just bored with life?

But yeah, expecting people to cheer you up is pathetic, although I don't really think this is what the ST wanted.
I mean, they said above:
"I wanted to see or /find out/ what happens to ME. Not how anybody would react. It didn't work, evidently, but I realized maybe a week afterwards, that nobody actually noticed, and perhaps I need to find someone who'd care."

So yeah. Perhaps they just wanted to tell their secret? Weight off their chest kinda thing. Who knows?

I'm sure someone does care about you.
But I think eing bored is no reason to try to kill your self. Aswell as checking out if someone cares is none.

I can relate - its like when I'm in high places I want to jump to see what it feels like
which is why I don't really go near high places - I don't trust myself, even though I kinda like the feeling of not being completely in control.
But, at the end of the day, death is something that is going to happen to everyone. And people say that an experience can be even better if you've had to wait for it

"kill myself to see what happens".
well, when you're dead you can't see what happens

...Whether or not you can see what happens after death all depends upon what you believe.

Taking the verb "to see" so verbally should have suggested that I ment the general PHYSICAL ability to experience things with one's senses that is taken away the moment the person dies. So no need to patronise me about beliefs, if you please.

And to the Secret Teller:
To die is not to hide in the bushes. You won't have the chance to go out anytime you want and shout "Surprise, I'm dead. React now". I advise not to use death as a tool for making them pay attention. Because when you disappear you loose the every possible opportunity to experience being noticed.

Can I just say at this point, that it wasn't for the attention, however poorly phrased my secret may be.
I wanted to see or /find out/ what happens to ME. Not how anybody would react. It didn't work, evidently, but I realized maybe a week afterwards, that nobody actually noticed, and perhaps I need to find someone who'd care.

thanks for that and sorry for misinterpretation.

My goal was not to patronize you; I was merely stating. Honestly, no matter what any single person believes to be true is up to them, and I will have respect for it. Also, I did mean "see" in a physical as well as mental sense

People can't read minds. I know when I got to a really low place I would block people out and then believe they didn't care about me. Sometimes we need to put in the effort to let people know we need them to put in the effort - if that makes sense.

Don't give up.

DDD: Did the people who would care know? And if they did, well screw them! I care! Your life is (and you are) beautiful!

You just have to find the right people to care about you.
