my thylacine character Hugh ^^rock hopping, and looking over at....i dunno......something made a noise??????
and THATS why we cant find thylacines!!! they live in overly grown foliage type places!!! that may or may not look native to austrailia! because 88 didnt do her research

After coming across your devArt account and seeing your character Hugh, I did some research on the Thylacine. They look so beautiful and elegant! It's such a shame they're extinct, though I hope they're not completely extinct. I hope the species makes a comeback!

Every time you draw Hugh, I get happy and fuzzy because I love seeing accurate pictures of my home islands logo creature.
Pro-tip. Those areas filled with foliage that are not well travelled? FERNS. EVERYWHERE. Giant man ferns and small hard-to-walk through ferns. and seriously old, giant trees that 8 people can stand around. Holes and rocks.

i love seeing accurate thylacine art. if u search em up on here, not even half of them are accurate. and that bums me out. im even a straight up american and i feel i understand these animals more than most.

I'm so glad you like to know places. Yay for research when we can be bothered! Ummm I can recommend two places best for accuracy, simply because they either very hard to get to, or not very many people go there - so if they're out there, those places are more likely (and one ranger I know says he saw one once! I'm skeptical, but it'd be cool!). Tasmania does not have many people and is mostly wilderness and farm.
Place 1) Tasmanian World Heritage Area. It's a really foresty, thick, mountainous area easy to get lost in. It's filled with national parks. This link gives you names: [link]
The Franklin area is particularly beautiful, especially if you like white water rapids.
Place 2) Near and around "gladstone" - its more beachy and farmy, but there's a mountain and not very populated. The ranger who worked there said he saw one on the beach
You must be a tasmanian at heart.
Another protip. It rains. A lot.
Hope I don't sound too fussy, I don't care really. I just get excited over it since I haven't lived there in 3 years and I'm heading back soon

i always think its [ractical and proper to do research on the animal's looks, habitat, and variations, height, diet, weight, anatomy, etc... its all needed to make it believeable/
lol i think im more an italian at heart XDD though im not italian and more towards mexican/jewish/irish. but id love to be a tasmainian hahaah

I approve this drawing so hard it's not even funny. Never mind being a thylacine, in a screen cap presentation, and absolutely adorable, but cause I felt practically alone in wanting to emphasize the little various colorations on tazzies other than black and taupe. In short, this feels directly stolen from the depths of everything I find awesome. x)
