The last time they made a ballot, the majority vote went to Shrek or Goku, which were already stupid in their own right, but the rest were thousands of things that didn't make sense to begin with. The people behind the Smash Ballot would logically know not to repeat the same mistake by releasing another ballot, since they would realize everyone would vote for something incredibly stupid that could never happen in SSB.

Except there were plenty of votes that DID make sense. There were outliers, yes, but that blanket statement doesn't make sense.

When you think about how many people voted for Shrek or other incredibly stupid icons from different points of films or TV, logically, there would be no reason to host another Smash Ballot, simply because they wouldn't want to be flooded with more Shrek requests to throw in the furnace.

You can't necessarily run these things without crap votes like those getting in. It's practically a given, and is easily skipped over. They're also outweighed in sheer numbers by the other votes that did make sense. If anything, this was a great way to get the community involved, and would definitely encourage seeing another vote happen.
