I have another sleeping pony for yall.

This time with applebloom, taking a break after a bit of work harvesting apples.

not gonna lie, this was a BITCH to finish. It was nearing completion the other day, but then I realized something was off with the picture, and then all of its flaws hit me like a freight train.

TONS of issues with the perspective and proportions of the image. she looked like a half pony and half human abomination by the time I started corrections. What was even worse was I was almost finished filling in the details (her hair gave me a ton of trouble, it looked nothing like what you see now).

Despite all of that, however, I found this image to be an absolute joy to make.

this new style I'm using is very different compared to what I used to work with, and it feels as if I went through a sudden evolution in how I do artwork. Everything just feels simpler to do now, and things like colors don't feel so daunting to utilize. I can actually make DECENT looking images now, in a fairly quick amount of time at that.

I'm going to try and use color more often, a nice change from the dreaded monochrome I've been so comfortable with.

Also, the clouds and apples were a last minute addition, to add a bit more depth to the picture. I thought about adding sweet apple acres in the background, but I decided against that notion. I also would have added a bucket of apples to the image, but I couldn't figure out where to put it without making the image too crowded.
