Haha, sorry, I only know about beads. Haven't used Legos since 1998...although I'm kind of in the mood now...

correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first time Ican recall you using actual clear beads for "glass" parts instead of the blue or black tinted-window effect...

You are correct. Well, I used semi-transparent black beads on the windows for some of the larger vehicles, but since the Mach 5 is a convertible of sorts, I had to build the interior as well, so I figures using the clear beads was appropriate.

After seeing the "how-to" tutorial... I can't help but feel a wee bit disappointed you resorted to using glue in a couple spots; seems kinda cheaty.

Yeah, I felt like a dirty girl using glue, haha. I might take a stab at a re-design without the use of glue, but it isn't origami - there aren't really rules for 3-D bead sprites, lol.

I now, but seeing you suddenly break out the glue - I literally stopped and went "Whoa, hold on, did I really see that?"
I guess you'd done so marvelously without it until then, that seeing you actually use some seemed... I dunno, inherently wrong somehow. Like seeing Emeril Lagasse or those guys from Iron Chef holding a TV dinner.

Haha. I don't think it's quite as bad as a TV dinner...maybe buying a NY strip steak from the market already cut to grill.

So, it's safe to say that you're building a giant 3d bead race track to have an awesome still of all these 3d bead cars driving on it. It's the only explanation.

Haha. That's very likely...
