A cool-down doodle that got a little carried away, hehe.
It's been a while since I've drawn these two dorks! I forget how fun they are to work with, hehe. Twilight can't help getting all flustered around the big, hairy oaf that is Scorpan, and he likewise can't help a couple of long, admiring glances towards the princess of friendship when he's near her. Before they officially started courting, there were many "looking into each other's eyes for far too long" moments between them, and still many more after they got together, pfft.
Twipan will always hold a special place in my heart, so this was super nice to draw out! I'm still working on the larger project I teased in my recent status post, but after a hard day at work with it, I wanted to do something fun to power down, and I'm always in the mood to do some lovey-dovey pieces, heh. Enjoy, folks!

Just wanna say, you’ve got me hooked on this ship! This can top over FlashLight or any other Twilight ship any day (especially since that ship’s pretty... eh, could be better lol). If Scorpan did appear in the show, I can tell he and Twilight would’ve had good chemistry. At least that’s what I like to think haha. I do wish we did see Scorpan in the show and maybe even meet Twilight. But hey, at least it leaves us shippers to our imagination

That would certainly be interesting! Time will tell if we ever get to see Scorpan again, I suppose, though I certainly hope he'll make an appearance in Season 9!

This pairing has grown on me to the point that's it's now one of my OTP's for Twilight. They just fit so well together. I especially like your design for Scorpan; fluffy manes are the best manes.

I could squeal all day about how much I LOVE your MLP art style, but Duuuuune, you MUST tell me how you decided that Twilight and Scorpan would make a good couple! I have /never/ considered this pairing, but you make it look v irresistible

Forgive the late response, but, haha, thank you! Twipan was the product of me feeling largely unsatisfied with most of the Twilight ships out there, to be honest! I had already planned for Scorpan to play a role in my NG story, and when it came time for me to explore his relationship dynamics with the princesses, his and Twi's stood out to me the most. In Harmonyverse canon, Scorpan is a worldy traveler and scholar, so right off the bat he and Twilight got along very well when they met- added bonus, Scorpan had known Starswirl the Bearded when he was still alive (show!Starswirl isn't canon in Harmonyverse), so Twilight immediately took a liking and interest in him, and he vice versa, since he hadn't known there were new princesses to Equestria, given last time he had visited there were only two. It wasn't until I realized Twi's interest could very well develop into a goofy sort of crush towards the fluffy gargoyle that I saw the sweet potential these two had- how well their personalities could fit together, their similar interests and beliefs that would bring them closer, etc. I got really attached to these dorks and now here we are I suppose, haha!

Although they're careful about it, Scorpan has, unfortunately, gotten his eye jabbed at (gently) with Twi's horn on accident once or twice before. Nothing too serious, but it's definitely happened- hopefully he keeps both his eyes throughout their marriage, hehe.

I feel like Twilight makes him wear the bell so he couldn't sneak up on her while she is working
Jokes on her, it just taught him to be sneakier.
Cause really, who could resist seeing Twilight watch in horror as all the books she painstakingly stacked tumble to the ground in a devastating avalanche of knowledge. Never has being forced to restock them and be relegated to the couch been so worth it.

Excellent thought, pfft! Though Scorpan is pretty fond of books himself, the big nerd, so knocking books off shelves for the sheer fun of it would make him pull a few hairs from his fluffy mane out in anxiety. He's not as crazy about organization as Twilight is (he's more the organized chaos sort, really, with piles of books around him), but would he agree that getting a good scare out of his wife would be worth it ever? Yes, yes he would.
As for the bell, it's actually something Scorpan has decided to wear willingly! It used to belong to Starswirl, and was a gift given to him before he left Equestria by the old wizard. He wears it fondly in memory of his old friend and brief mentor.
