Description

Tresila was sitting by a babbling brook in the woods taking a break from learning her incantations. Suddenly she felt as if she wasn't alone. She turned around and behind her she noticed two small little eyes peering at her from under a fallen log. She felt that the small creature wasn't a threat and encouraged it to crawl out from under the log. Finally she convinced the little creature to come out to meet her. The little creature turned out to be a cute red squirrel. They quickly became friends and he followed her back to her cottage.

As they entered the cottage her new friend instantly climbed up on the table and began looking at her books of knowledge. Then, much to Tresila's surprise, her little friend began to speak about the texts. He quickly turned a few pages in the largest text and began to tell her about the meanings of the symbols on the page. She now realized that her new friend was actually the the mentor she had wished for to help her fully understand the meanings behind the incantations in the texts.

Just wanted to do a render with sort of a Halloween theme. This ended up being a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. The little squirrel turned out to be a big issue. I had to get Catalyzer to keep the render from dropping to CPU. I could also only get one or two test renders with the squirrel in the scene before DS would just crash. Eventually I got it all set up and rendered, after about 25 hours worth of work . I think it was worth all the work, at least it was for me. Hopefully you like it as well.

The scene was set up un DAZ Studio and rendered using Iray. The character is a custom G3F character based on Sunny 3 and The Girl. The lighting is provided buy the candles in the scene. I did very minor post work just adding some vignette, light unsharp mask, and the sig.
