This is one story less talked about -- how Scar hid his true self from the lionesses, how he kept up his act as his madness grew. Very nice picture, they look very true to the Disney style.

Poor Sarabi.Β I do think she would have tried to help Scar in the beginning, thinking maybe his mistakes were just amateur and not cruel, even as she is grieving her son and mate.Β She is a badass.

yeah im not a fan of sarabi and scar pairing, because i Β believe Sarabi got too much pride to do something like that. But sarabi is my favorite character so i dont really like the idea of her going down low so much.

I love this picture <3 I've always personally thought that Scar TRIED to be a good king in the beginning, but in the end it proved to be too much for him to handle. Thus he turned frustrated and lazy and "disinterested" in the job. I think that's why he eventually forbid anyone to speak Mufasa's name because he was angry at being reminded how easily and smoothly kingship was for his brother, and how badly it seemed to go for him.

This is an awesome picture, but to be honest, I don't understand the artist comment at all. in the early days? Scar was never king in the early days, Mufasa was,or do you mean after Mufaa died? and Scar was always cruel, right from the get go.

Yeah I thought so, but still Scar was always nasty. It's who he is, there is no sweet side, he likes to boss around and be the leader because no one can talk down to him, he likes to pick on his ' peers ' lol

yeah but never a murderer as far as one know, if he was from the start Sarabi would never allow him to take over so easily and she wont believe him when he tells them that both Mufasa and Simba died. She know he is weird and maybe something is off, but she never guessed that he was the killer of Mufasa.Β

He took over because it's the rules, the KINg is the main leader not the queen. He has the right to take over when there is no other to be king. either if she didn't know or thing he could have killed mufasa, she still knew he was evil. Β he let the hyena's take over as soon as he was king.
