Superhero-themed cupcakes for the grand finale of my friends' latest RPG campaign, set in the Marvel universe.
I'm not much into superz myself, so I didn't play it... but I couldn't pass on such an occasion to decorate some cuppies in outrageously garish primary colours!.

The comics-inspired sound balloons were cut out of edible sugar sheets (I used Wilton's - and boy, is the stuff brittle!) and the words were lined with food markers. Alas, they smeared a little!

The cupcakes themselves were lemon-flavoured, really good if a tad too dense and buttery for my taste. I like crumbly over moist - weird, I know, but it's me.

The pic was snapped in a hurry just before the cupcakes were carried away, and unfortunately it doesn't do justice to the sheer awesomeness of the wrappers. BUT... you can see (and buy) them at this Etsy shop !
