About the "Rule of thirds":
Look at this shot, her face is on the side of the frame, the composition is well balanced, the cut is dynamic.
Imagine her face in the center of the frame, the girl would be ever beautiful but the photo would be banal and static...
And not, the hands don't count, you have subconsciously applied the rule because your brain prefer it in this way, free yourself about the wrong rule that say "The subject go in the center of the frame"
